The Story

The Sanglard family has been producing coffee at Serra do Bone since 1988. It was started by father Carlos Sergio Sang lard, who was a pioneer in the region. Carlos was commited to sustainable and organic farming practices and producing the highest quality coffee possible when this approach was unheard of in the region. Today these practices are much more common and the region produces large volumes of specialty coffee.

The Sang lard family has continued to plant more coffee trees over the last 33 years while preserving the farms native forest which accounts for about half of the total area of the farm. The farm has received multiple Cup of Excellence awards, including multiple wins within the top five lots from Brasil over the years.

This coffee is a red and yellow Catuaf lot selection. We love this coffee's luxurious and laid back quality. It has a low acidity and rich flavors of milk chocolate, hazelnut and plum. We love the heavy mouthfeel, intense sweetness and richness of this coffee. Please enjoy Fazenda Serra do Bone!
